Additional New Arrivals from Cayuse
Landing Friday
Cayuse is one of the most in-demand wineries in North America, and likely needs little in the way of introductions for many of our subscribers. Our stock always goes fast, so we’re excited to receive another allocation from the 2017 and 2018 vintages on Friday. Included in the drop are coveted bottlings from Cayuse’s Horsepower and No Girls labels. As always quantities are miniscule, so act accordingly.
Arriving Friday, May 7th:
Only 6 bottles available
Horsepower Vineyards ‘Sur Echalas Vineyard’ Grenache, Walla Walla Valley 2018 750ML ($199.95) $159 pre-arrival special
No reviews for 2018. 2017 provided for reference.
Anthony Mueller – The Wine Advocate 97 points “Power and elegance. The 2017 Grenache Sur Echalas Vineyard bangs with bright red fruit character with fantastic clarity and a pure sense of underlying terroir at its core. Intoxicating floral aromas of Sakura, crushed rose petals and hints of lavender flood the senses first, followed by layers of wild strawberries, bright cherry skin and crushed raspberries in the glass. It is medium-bodied on the palate, with delicate savory and spice tones that fade in and out between the seductive red fruit and floral notes, giving way to an impeccably balanced structure with energetic acidity and a robust shine and gleam to the fruit. An instant success, the palate is full of flavor and mouth-watering juiciness without being overripe. Immensely pleasureful, the wine delivers an elongated yet compact finish that continues to evolve and unpack in the mouth with persistence. Hands-down, it’s a winner! 301 cases produced.”

Only 3 bottles available
Cayuse Vineyards Armada Vineyard Syrah, Walla Walla Valley 2017 750ML ($149.95) $135 pre-arrival special
Jeb Dunnuck 97+ points “The Armada Vineyard Syrah always reminds me of the Horsepower releases, as it’s a more masculine, earthy style of Syrah. Deep plum/purple-colored with an incredible bouquet of smoked plum, blackcurrants, tobacco, peppered meat, and violets, the 2017 hits the palate with full-bodied richness and depth, building structure and tannins, moderate acidity, and a great finish. It’s another wine from Baron that packs incredible richness and depth yet still just glides across the palate with no sensation of weight or heaviness. It shows the more rounded, approachable style of the vintage and will keep for 20 years or more.”
Anthony Mueller – Wine Advocate 97 points “The 2017 Syrah Armada Vineyard bursts out of the glass with complex and expressive aromas of blackberry, black tea, savory and umami tones of crushed black pepper, grilled meat and dried lilac and lavender. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is elegant and seamless on the palate, unfolding beautifully with precision and intention, offering up instant gratification in youth. The wine unfolds its wings across the mid-palate and takes flight, leading to the elongated and continually evolving finish, which grows in complexity and amplitude in the mouth. The 2017 is more approachable in youth than the 2016 vintage of the same bottling. If you enjoy wines in their youth, this vintage is a no-brainer. Only 613 cases were produced.”

Only 6 bottles available
No Girls La Placiencia Vineyard Grenache, Walla Walla Valley 2017 750ML ($149.95) $114.50 pre-arrival special
Anthony Mueller-Wine Advocate 97 points “A masterclass of finesse and elegance, the 2017 Grenache la Paciencia Vineyard explodes with seductive floral tones that immediately capture your attention. Brilliantly defined dark cherry notions with aromas of rose hip and black spice tones sashay out of the glass. Nuances of dusty leather and wild strawberry float on top of the glass with red floral bouquet aromas. With 13.5% alcohol, this pure, medium-bodied wine is chock-full of flavor, bursting at the seams with a subtle smoky tone that perfectly frames the ripe red fruit. The palate is balanced with a velvety mouthfeel and energizing acidity to age for more than a decade. It displays expertly managed tannins and spiced red fruit that continues to unpack and evolve with mind-blowing complexity. The long-lived finish has a mineral tension and offers up notions of wild strawberry, dark cherry skin, newly opened peonies and luxurious and elegant black spice tones—another brilliant bottling from Christophe Baron. The only thing that is disappointing about this wine is that there are only 347 cases for the world to share.”

No Girls La Placiencia Vineyard Syrah, Walla Walla Valley 2017 750ML ($149.95) $114.50 pre-arrival special
Jeb Dunnuck 98 points “Lastly, the 2017 Syrah La Paciencia Vineyard is just classic Rocks Syrah with its meaty, bloody blue fruits, ground black pepper, cured meats, violets, and spring flower aromas and flavors. Beautifully textured, concentrated, medium to full-bodied, and flawlessly balanced, it’s another incredible wine from this label that can be drunk any time over the coming 20 years or more.”
Only 3 bottles available
No Girls La Placiencia Vineyard Tempranillo, Walla Walla Valley 2017 750ML ($149.95) $114.50 pre-arrival special
Jeb Dunnuck 97 points “Rose petals, forest floor, spring flowers, blueberries, black raspberries, and loads of spice all emerge from the 2017 Tempranillo. It almost reminds me of a Cote Rotie with its feminine, floral, complex bouquet. Nicely textured on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, it has great tannins, perfect balance, and just has everything in the right places. It benefits from air, so give it a decant if drinking any time soon. It’s going to evolve gracefully for 15-20 years or more.”
Other Highlights from Cayuse, in Stock Now:
Horsepower Vineyards ‘High Contrast Vineyard’ Syrah, Walla Walla Valley 2017 750ML ($219.95) $179 special, 6 bottles in stock now
Wine Advocate 96 points “Showing with a deep ruby core that fades to a purple edge, the 2017 Syrah High Contrast Vineyard explodes from the glass with pronounced smoky aromas that waft with delicate notes of dark chocolate-covered blackberries, then show hints of roasted coffee bean, notions of petrichor, baked earth and dried herbs. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is elegantly powerful, showcasing a balanced chassis of youthful tannins that evolve with the complex nature of the wine. There is a velvety firmness to the mid-palate before moving onto an elongated finish that grows in complexity and amplitude as the expression resonates harmoniously, confirming yet another blockbuster Syrah from the ever-so-talented Christophe Baron. Only 386 cases made.”
Wine Enthusiast 96 points “#69 Top 100 Cellar Selections 2020 The aromas explode from the glass, with notes of fire pit, potpourri, black olive, wet stone, dried porcini and stone. The palate is sumptuous, layered, elegant and intensely flavorful, showing abundant savory notes. A lingering black olive and earthy finish caps it off. Best after 2025.”
Cayuse Vineyards God Only Knows Armada Vineyard Grenache, Walla Walla Valley 2017 750ML ($149.95) $138 special, 3 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 97 points “The subtlety of fruit here is mesmerizing with sweet strawberry, floral and tangerine aromas that follow through to a medium to full body, fine and soft tannins and a long, delicious finish. It shows such polish and fineness. Drink or hold.”
Cayuse Vineyards Impulsivo Tempranillo, Walla Walla Valley 2018 750ML ($179.95) $149 special, 9 bottles in stock now
No reviews for 2018. 2017 provided for reference.
Jeb Dunnuck 95 points “While I don’t think the 2017 Impulsivo matches the 2016, it’s certainly not far off. Showing the more elegant style of the vintage, it offers a gorgeous perfume of smoked black cherries, redcurrants, green tobacco, bloody meat, sandalwood, and Asian spices that opens up with time in the glass. Ethereal, medium to full-bodied, and seamless on the palate, it has flawless balance, polished tannins, no hard edges, and a great, great finish. It’s just beautifully put together and one of the more approachable vintages of this cuvée. It can be drunk with incredible pleasure today (give it an hour decant) or cellared for 15+ years or more.”

A Steal on Gaja’s Langhe White
It’s not often that we’re able to offer a screaming deal on a wine with such an iconic pedigree. Gaja is a name that requires no context—like Lafite or DRC, it’s understood which estate is meant. Although Angelo Gaja is best known for his reds, he also makes profound and collectable white wines from Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Today we’re excited to offer a can’t-miss price on Gaja’s Langhe White (95% Chardonnay, with a touch of Sauvignon Blanc). A wine that normally commands a triple digit price tag, we’re offering for less than $70.
In Stock Now:
Gaja Rossj-Bass Langhe, Piedmont 2018 750ML ($119.95) $69 special, 36+ bottles in stock now
Importer Note “The nose opens with fresh and sweet flavors consisting of white melon and white nectarine peach combined with elder and jasmine. On the entry, this wine opens with citrus fruits and fresh hints menthol (reminiscent of pepper mint). The sharp acidity gives freshness and incredible length to a crisp, lingering finish. This wine is produced from grapes grown in several estate-owned vineyards. The Rossj vineyard, planted in 1984, is named for Angelo Gaja’s younger daughter Rossana (Rossj). Bass is Piedmontese for the Italian basso, meaning low, a name derived from the vineyard’s position. Pheasants are featured on Rossj-Bass’ label to commemorate the beautiful birds that inhabit the forests adjacent to GAJA’s vineyards.”

A High-Scoring Red Blend from Substance

Charles Smith’s Substance wines are some of our most popular year in and out. If you’re unfamiliar with the winery, know that Charles Smith fashions himself a bit of a rock star and he ought to—he used to manage them. Then, one day, on a motorcycle trip, he rode through Walla Walla and was struck by the majesty of the terrain and the vineyards.
Today, Charles Smith is one of the defining winemakers for what might be the modern Washington style. His wines are big, rich, and ripe but polished. Today’s featured wine offers all of the generosity you’d expect from a Charles Smith wine. However, it is also “remarkably elegant for a wine of this size” according to Jeb Dunnuck, who was effusive in his praise and awarded the 2016 vintage 97 points.
In Stock Now:
Substance ‘Bx’ Klein Vineyard Bordeaux Blend, Columbia Valley 2016 750ML ($89.95) $69 special, 30 bottles in stock now
Jeb Dunnuck 97 points “Lastly, the 2016 Klein BX Vineyard Collection checks in as 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 28% Cabernet Franc, all of which was co-fermented and aged 27 months in French oak. Coming from a 3-acre parcel in the vineyard, it’s a monster of a wine loaded with notions of blackcurrants, cassis, chocolate, spice box, tobacco, and scorched earth. It’s not for the faint of heart and is full-bodied, super rich, concentrated, and structured, yet it stays balanced, has a seamless texture, and is remarkably elegant for a wine of this size. It’s going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and cruise for 15-20 years in cold cellars.”

A rare cool-climate Northwest Chenin Blanc
Bow & Arrow Chenin Blanc, Willamette Valley 2018 750ML ($39.95) $33 special, 7 bottles in stock now
Winery note “10 years in the making…. Chenin was part of the original varietal trifecta for Bow & Arrow when I began in 2010. But all the Chenin in the Willamette Valley has been torn out or grafted as far as I was able to tell. (There were always rumors…). While readily available in Washington or Southern Oregon I was committed to only doing it with WV fruit. It had to be cool climate character or nothing. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time, y’all. All those trips to the Loire paid off. As well as that training wheels vintage (2017) that had to get blended. (This shit is hard to ripen) I didn’t know what to expect from the finished wine but I’m relieved to share it came out tasting like only Chenin can. 84 cases produced!”

“Marvelously complex”
Lingua Franca ‘Avni’ Chardonnay, Willamette Valley 2018 750ML ($39.95) $31.90 special, 5 bottles in stock now
Wine & Spirits Magazine 94 points “Drawn mostly from vineyards in the Eola–Amity Hills, Avni seems to capture the nerve and tension of whites from that AVA. The 2018, fermented with ambient yeasts and aged in mostly used barrels and puncheons, reminded me of a golden slope, not unlike Lingua Franca’s sunny, south-facing home vineyard, which tumbles down toward the winery. Avni is warm and marvelously complex, with notes of chilled pineapple and toffee, of wheat and pear, one moment tense and elegant, another moment considerably richer. Drink some now but cellar a few bottles, too, to see where they will take you.”
Winery Note “The aroma is complex with layers of lemongrass, honeycomb, citrus, and spice. On the palate, the wine is silky, round and supple, with a long finish. The wine has an open texture and deeper flavor, reflecting the even growing conditions throughout the season. The finish is long and mouthwatering.”
Intense, fresh & silky
Goodfellow Family Cellars Whistling Ridge Vineyard Chardonnay 2018 750ML ($39.95) $36 special, 13 bottles in stock now
Erin Brooks-Wine Advocate 93 points “The 2018 Chardonnay Whistling Ridge has intense, pure aromas of baked apples, pie crust, hazelnuts and flint. The palate is silky and expansive with plush, nutty flavors, seamless freshness and a very long finish.”
Winery note “A beautiful, linear wine, compelling aromatically, and elegant and lively in the mouth. Sea shell, salt water, white flowers, linen, almond, lemon oil, lit match, and lime skin. White chalky minerality, crisp, and with length.”

Wine Enthusiast Editor’s Choice
Day Wines ‘Belle Pente Vineyard’ Chardonnay, Yamhill-Carlton District 2018 750ML ($44.95) $39 special, 13 bottles in stock now
Paul Gregutt – Wine Enthusiast 95 points “Editor’s Choice. This astonishing wine does for Oregon Chardonnay what Cayuse has done for Oregon Syrah—utterly reinvented it. Thick with flavors of mashed pears, peaches and sweet lemons, it’s big but still nuanced. Scents and streaks of flower pollen, lemon meringue, baking spices and more make this compelling wine both fascinating and challenging. Winemaker Brianne Day ferments with native yeast in one-third new puncheon and two-thirds neutral barrels. This is simply stunning.”

A “seriously complex pinot” from the Willamette Valley’s OG
The Eyrie Vineyards Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills 2017 750ML ($36.95) $33 special, 3 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 94 points “A blend of all five Eyrie sites, this gives a gauge on the 2017 harvest here, as one that delivered fresh and complex style. Red-cherry, raspberry, blueberry and leafy aromas with gently earthy and spicy tones in equal measure. The palate has a very smooth core of fleshy red-cherry flavors and carries a velvety tannin texture long and fresh. Seriously complex pinot. Drink or hold.”
Expressive & perfumed
Belle Pente Murto Vineyard Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills 2015 750ML ($39.95) $36 special, 8 bottles in stock now
Josh Raynolds-Vinous 94 points “Brilliant red. Highly expressive aromas of fresh red/blue fruits, potpourri, baking spices and candied rose. Juicy and seamless in texture, offering penetrating raspberry, cherry liqueur and spicecake flavors that are highlighted by a zesty mineral note. Intensely flavored and sharply delineated, with an impressively long, perfumed finish that delivers firm mineral cut and resonating floral character.”

Classic cherry & earth aromas
Vincent Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley 2017 750ML ($47.95) $39 special, 7 bottles in stock now
Josh Raynolds-Vinous 94 points “Deep, glistening crimson. Highly expressive, spice-accented cherry, boysenberry and black raspberry aromas are complicated by floral, musky earth and succulent herb nuances. Sappy, appealingly sweet and broad on entry, then showing more tension on the midpalate, offering juicy, mineral-inflected red and blue fruit flavors that become sweeter as the wine opens up. Shows a suave rose pastille quality on the impressively persistent finish, which is framed by smooth, polished tannins.”

Certified organic!
Evesham Wood Le Puits Sec Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills 2017 750ML ($49.95) $39 special, 5 bottles in stock now
Decanter 96 points “An impressive wine from a dry-farmed, certified organic 1.8ha vineyard, first planted in 1986. Superbly elegant violet-tinged cherry fruit with a hint of spice, developing gracefully to take on a smoky subtlety and supple depth, showing hints of freshly turned earth. The texture is seductively silky and delicate, yet there is rewarding density and length.”
A cellar pick
Arterberry Maresh Old Vines Pinot Noir, Dundee Hills 2018 750ML ($47.95) $39 special, 9 bottles in stock now
Erin Brooks-Wine Advocate 94+ points “Pale ruby-purple, the 2018 Pinot Noir Old Vines has an alluring perfume of blueberries, violets and dark cherries with accents of earth and amaro. The medium-bodied palate offers intense, broody fruits framed by muscular tannins and bright freshness, and it finishes long and full of flavor. It’s still youthfully coiled and may improve with another year or two in bottle.”

Gobelsburg’s World-Class Whites
Perfect for Spring
Schloss Gobelsburg makes some of the top wines in Austria. They operate in a style that promotes complexity and vivacity for some of the best values in the wine world (especially at the high end). The single vineyard wines are generally raised in a mixture of stainless and cask, and are powerful, forthright expressions of some of the best terroirs in Austria. As a result, their top bottlings are wines that can stand toe to toe with any white wine in the world, but for a fraction of the price of their French peers.
In Stock Now:
Schloss Gobelsburg Ried Lamm Grüner Veltliner Erste ÖTW Lage, Kamptal DAC 2018 750ML ($69.95) $59 special, 4 bottles in stock now
Stephan Reinhardt-Wine Advocate 93 points “The 2018 Kammern Ried Lamm 1ÖTW displays an intense golden-yellow color and opens with a deep, clear and complex, remarkably refined and elegant, crystalline and flinty bouquet of crushed stones, herbs and ripe Veltliner fruit. Full-bodied, lush and intense but fine and elegant on the silky-textured and well-balanced palate, this is a perfectly round and sweet, lush and ripe, pretty generous Lamm with a long and elegant, beautifully balanced but tensioned and stimulating salty finish. Tasted at Schloss Grafenegg and Schloss Gobelsburg in September 2019.”
Terry Theise note “Lamm as a rule is buckwheat-y, rusky, savory but not thick, like a vegetable-veal stock with barley, yet oddly also like lamb itself. (“Lamm” doesn’t mean lamb, but is rather a dialect word for “loam.”) It is a great wine though virtually without fruit per se. Its poise of gloss and power, intensity and outline, mass and transparency are emblems of the paradox without which no wine is truly great. If Renner commences the birds to sing, Lamm commences the wolves to howl. This `18 has its customary virtues though it also suggests alcohol could be an issue. Is it eucalyptus spice or jalapeño heat? I liked it better in a moderate-sized tulip, unusually, where it was almost elegant and certainly showed more fruit.”

Schloss Gobelsburg Tradition Grüner Veltliner Reserve, Niederösterreich 2017 750ML ($59.95) $49 special, 5 bottles in stock now
Anne Krebiehl – Wine Enthusiast 96 points “Editor’s Choice. The aromas of fir honey, salty yeast and white pepper combine on the vivid, spicy nose. Those flavors also play on the slender, juicy palate where glorious sprays of white pepper take center stage against a backdrop of salt, honey and pear.”

Schloss Gobelsburg Gaisberg Riesling Reserve Erste ÖTW Lage, Kamptal DAC 2018 750ML ($47.95) $39 special, 14 bottles in stock now
Stephan Reinhardt-Wine Advocate 93 points “From Zöbing, the 2018 Ried Gaisberg 1ÖTW is deep, pure and flinty on the concentrated and complex nose. Tight and fresh on the pure and crystalline palate, this is a firmly structured, finessed and salty, still very young and tight Riesling with impressive grip and tension. The 2018 Gaisberg is a very promising dry Riesling that will improve in the bottle. Keep it cool for at least three or four years. Tasted at Schloss Grafenegg and at the domain in September 2019.”
Terry Theise note “Gaisberg for me is always a moonlight wine, as if somehow the grapes ripened at night when the moon is waxing. Its manifest complexity is sometimes behind a veil. It takes at least 5 years to reveal itself. Accordingly I suspect it’s underrated since we’re always tasting it so young. And Michi makes no concession to “presentability;” the wine is the wine, and this `18 is dark, coniferous and spicy, even shoot-smoky; the salt and blueberry emerge in the tulip glass and with air—a lot of air—the conversation of flavors emerges. But these cards are held close.”

Schloss Gobelsburg Heiligenstein Riesling Reserve Erste ÖTW Lage, Kamptal DAC 2018 750ML ($69.95) $59 special, 13 bottles in stock now
Stephan Reinhardt-Wine Advocate 93 points “Gobelsburg’s 2018 Ried Heiligenstein 1ÖTW opens with a very clear, bright, fresh and flinty, very elegant and almost coolish bouquet, like almost no other Heiligenstein of this vintage except for Bründlmayer’s selections. Round and elegant on the palate, this is a bright and refined, highly elegant and crystalline Heiligenstein with an intense, piquant and mineral finish. Tasted at Schloss Grafenegg and Schloss Gobelsburg in September 2019.”
Decanter 93 points “Michael Moosbrugger, Gobelsburg’s director, has made this large monastic property the intellectual centre of the region, where he explores different styles of winemaking. His Heiligenstein has a vibrant and exuberant nose, with spicy stone-fruit aromas. On the palate it’s very ripe, yet taut and precise. A concentrated wine, it shows clarity and a mineral undertone, yet it’s surprisingly accessible, perhaps because the acidity seems a touch low.”
Terry Theise note “Right now this is vivid on its lime and smoke sides, with the tropical fruits and spices still in bud; lots of fir and balsam and the sweet kelp of (an Oolong tea called) Fu Shou Shan. Already superb, it needs just one more note in the chord to be truly great.”
This is the lowest listed price in the USA today!
Schloss Gobelsburg Tradition Riesling Reserve, Niederösterreich 2017 750ML ($59.95) $49 special, 4 bottles in stock now
Stephan Reinhardt-Wine Advocate 94 points “Entirely from the Gaisberg cru, the 2017 Riesling Tradition displays a clear and flinty, intense, fresh and complex bouquet of ripe and concentrated stone fruits intertwined with notes of crushed stones and herbal tea. On the palate, this is a rich and concentrated, lush and fruity Riesling with a sustainable, salty-piquant and well-structured, highly stimulating finish. This is a great wine made to age for a decade and more. Tasted at Schloss Grafenegg and at the domain in September 2019.”
Terry Theise note “Look, this is just heart-rendingly beautiful. The chiseled piquancy emerging from its stately beauty is hardly of-this-world. If you sometimes wonder “Have I forgotten how to love?” take a sip, and watch those old hidden lights come on.”

Monica Larner-Wine Advocate 91 points “Vietti’s 2019 Roero Arneis is fresh, zesty and upfront. This delightfully informal white wine lays it all out there, and there’s a lot to love. The Arneis grape reveals glossy, polished aromas in which citrus and peach are offset by a touch of squeaky natural rubber. I happen to love those aromas. Vietti offers a very clean and authentic expression of the variety. If you’re new to Arneis, this is a good place to start.”

The wine matured for 3 months in big Slovenian oak casks, 6 months in steel tanks and 2 months in the bottle before its release. Importer note “Pelaverga is an hierloom Piedmontese varietal. Matteo Ascheri aims to highlight the grape’s potential as a dry, still red with spicy, dark cherry and red-berry flavors. A medium bodied, fresh and bright red, the Pelaverga pairs well with a wide range of pastas, pizzas and lighter grilled meats and fish.”

“A Piedmontese wine that will make Burgundy lovers happy”
Rovellotti ‘Valplazza’ Nebbiolo Colline Novaresi, Piedmont 2016 750ML ($29.95) $24 special, 8 bottles in stock now
VinopolNote “A beautiful example of Alto Piemonte Nebbiolo. The Rovellotti family traces their roots back hundreds of years in Ghemme and holds plots in the two best crus of the village. This wine, while not structured or profound and their single vineyard bottlings, is a perfect example of why Alto Piemonte deserves recognition on its own (and not just as a Barolo alternative). Wines from Ghemme are gorgeously perfumed and this one is no exception. Beautifully red-fruited, with spice and floral overlays this is a Piedmontese wine that will make Burgundy lovers happy–or really just about anyone who loves nervy, bright, elegant wines.”

“Quintessentially Alpine”
Cascina Melognis ‘Divicaroli’ Pelaverga Colline Saluzzesi, Piedmont 2018 750ML ($29.95) $24 special, 10 bottles in stock now
Importer note “The grapes for “Divicaroli” are sourced from 30-year-old pelaverga vines. Pelaverga (distinct from the pelaverga piccolo variety of Verduno) is characteristic of the area around Saluzzo. Here it was long a staple in blends, but its importance shrank over time, until it nearly vanished in the 1970s. Today, careful site selection and pruning are bringing about a small and welcome renaissance for the grape. Its peppery, high-toned freshness, and delicate floral and herbaceous notes are quintessentially Alpine. It is still rare to find monovarietal pelaverga from anywhere in the Piedmont, let alone the Colline Saluzzesi. This wine is macerated for ten days before undergoing spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, where it remains for 6 months before being bottled. “Divicaroli” means “belonging to Saint Charles” in Latin and is named such because the pelaverga comes from a vineyard named after St. Charles.”
