Chris Gorman is a wine industry lifer who has been turning out some of the most sought after wines from Washington State since 2002.  Done in a full bodied, take no prisoners style, Gorman makes wines for lovers of Washington wines.  The “Old Scratch” is labeled as a GSM, but could be labeled as a Syrah, as it makes up 90% of the blend and hews to the Gorman style that made the winery famous.

Bishop Creek Vineyard is a special vineyard, located in the western part of Yamhill-Carlton at a higher elevation than many of the famous sites of the AVA.  Though it’s now the estate vineyard for Nicolas Jay Winery (the Oregon outpost of esteemed Burgundy producer Jean-Nicolas Meo), Marcus Goodfellow for several years made wine for his own label and also for Bishop Creek, which were often highlights both of his portfolio as well as Yamhill in general.
