Vinopolis Champagne Spectacular 11-3-18

As the sun begins setting earlier and earlier, we start to consolidate and schedule our Champagne program for the holidays.  We’re excited to present an extremely strong collection of wines to you at especially sharp pricing (at least while they’re pre-arrival).  Most of these arrive later this month, though some will arrive in December.  This is the best pricing we’ll be offering on these wines, so act quickly while prices are at their lowest.

The Gimonnet wines are pure, classical Blanc de Blancs Champagne.  Only 2% of their vines (and none of their wines) are Pinot Noir and Didier Gimonnet’s devotion to cool, minerally Champange made from Chardonnay borders on monastic.  At their best, Gimonnet seems to have a quiet resonance, like a beautiful bell struck in a perfect quiet stone hallway.

Cameron holds a special place in the heart of anyone who loves Oregon wine.  Winemaker John Paul has been making some of the best wines to come out of the Willamette Valley since 1984.  The wines have Burgundian sensibilities, in that they age extremely well and have impeccable balance, but they are as ‘Oregon’ as they come.  If you were to ask a selection of winemakers here who their top 5 wineries are; Cameron will be in every list.

48 Hour Fourrier Sale

omaine Fourrier makes some of the most captivating wines in Burgundy.  To Burgophiles, this isn’t much of a claim—the wines that Jean-Marie has produced since taking over from his father have become hot tickets in the Burgundy world.

When young they’re among the most impressive in Burgundy, combining succulent fruit with minerality and a complexity that’s nearly unmatched in newly released wines.  They improve with age, as well, though we’ve always had a hard time keeping our hands off of the lower-tier wines in the first five years after the vintage.
