Time for Tempier Rosé

Tempier is the most in-demand rosé.  Their pink wine from Bandol is considered to be one of the finest examples of the genre, and the wine that sparked the craze for dry rosé in the United States (thanks largely to Kermit Lynch, Tempier’s importer).

We just received the new 2016’s from the Durands and are very, very impressed.  They’re definitely a producer on the rise and the last two vintages (’15 and ’16) are the best wines they’ve ever produced.  It’s become harder and harder to find this sort of value in the Northern Rhone as the markets locates inefficiencies quicker than ever.  Nevertheless, here we are—these are fantastic bottles at prices far below what comparable St.
