The Veneto region of Italy is home to numerous subregions of exceedingly high quality, including the noble reds of Valpolicella and the refreshing whites of Soave. We’re pleased to offer our in-stock selections of still reds and whites on our three-day sale. This includes popular names such as Allegrini, craveable whites from Pra and Pieropan, and highly-lauded cellar-worthy selections from Quintarelli and Dal Forno. For over thirty years, the Dal Forno family has been crafting deeply concentrated expressions of Valpolicella and Amarone. Their name practically defines the style of wines from this northeastern portion of the Veneto.

Established in 1983 by Romano Dal Forno, the estate vaulted to the heights of perfection in the Venato.

Winemaker Chris Carpenter of Mt. Brave crafts bold reds from high on Mount Veeder, where the days are warm and the late afternoon breezes keep the temperature in check. The wines offer excellent freshness without sacrificing body or boldness. Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Mayacamas and Lokoya, Carpenter’s background in Italian winemaking and the Slow Foods moment gives his wines a sense of place from a unique perspective. These are deeply expressive and well-reviewed wines that still offer a great value when comparison shopping with the neighbors.

Anne-Marie Failla and Ehren Jordan founded Failla in the 1990s.
