Goodfellow: New Releases Arrive Tomorrow 4-4-24

On Sale Now ‘Til Sunday!

Marcus Goodfellow is one of the most talented winemakers in Oregon, joined by the equally talented and knowledgeable Megan Joy. The wines reflect the minds of this incredible pair, showing microscopic understanding of the potential in the terroirs of the Willamette Valley.

These are profound wines, both white and red, that are made in a style that’s distinctly savory—no fruit bombs here. Together, Marcus and Megan craft wines that continually improve—both in the cellar and vintage to vintage. We love the wines for their coiled power and Burgundian structure, and we stack them enthusiastically & abundantly in our own personal cellars to adore for decades to come.

Don’t miss the releases from Tsai Vineyard, a new-to-the-winery vineyard in the north-western part of the Yamhill-Carlton.

J.B. Becker: Timeless Riesling from the Rheingau 4-3-24

On Sale Now!

The Rheingau was once considered Germany’s finest winemaking region before falling into obscurity itself in the previous century. Today, interest and investment has brought the region back into the limelight. Quality-focused estates are becoming, if not common names among the average wine drinker, better known among insiders. The German wine association, the VDP, has also helped promote the region and its mostly-dry wines.

One such estate is benefiting from renewed interest in the region and dry Rieslings: J.B. Becker. Despite crafting ultra-long-aging dry or mostly dry Rieslings from his family’s estate for over 50 years, wasn’t until recently that the name became known among Riesling fans. Founded in 1893 by the grandfather (Jean Baptiste Becker) of the current owner (Hans-Joseph Becker or HaJo), this small estate is tucked away in the Rheingau.

Pascal Doquet 4-2-24

Grower Champagne On Sale Now!

“It’s the viticulture that makes the difference, not the vinification.” -Pascal Doquet

With an eye towards thoughtful, organic farming, Pascal Doquet epitomizes grower Champagne. Not only does his estate encompass some of the finest terroir in all of Champagne in the illustrious Côte des Blancs, his organic-certified parcels boast significant amounts of old vines. His resulting Champagnes are a magnificent tribute to his masterful and conscientious farming.

Since 1982, Doquet has worked his family’s estate alongside his parents. He took over completely in 1995 and began rolling out more environmentally-friendly practices under the French concept of lutte raisonnée. His passion for the vineyards and for his sustainable farming methods came to a head in 2004, when his sister forced the break-up of the family estate, Doquet-Jeanmaire, to farm more conventionally.
