Albert Bichot Domaine Long-Depaquit Les Clos, Chablis Grand Cru 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $99, that’s $94.05 at 5% off and $89.10 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
Burghound 93 points “Moderate though not subtle wood influence frames overtly exotic aromas of white peach, apricot, lychee and a hint of sea breeze. There is outstanding volume and mid-palate density to the large-scaled, intense and powerful flavors that coat the mouth with dry extract on the robust, bitter lemon and stony finish. This is definitely not a classic rendition of Les Clos but it’s impressive nonetheless.”
This is the lowest listed price on the West Coast!
La Soufrandiere Pouilly-Vinzelles Climat Les Quarts, Maconnais 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $69, that’s $65.55 at 5% off and $62.10 at 10% off, 10 bottles in stock now
William Kelley-Wine Advocate 92+ points “The 2019 Pouilly-Vinzelles Les Quarts unwinds in the glass with notes of clear honey, white flowers and fresh bread. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, it’s vibrant and youthfully reserved, showing promise for the cellar.”

Domaine Marc Colin et Fils Bourgogne Aligote 2022 750ml Displayed Price: $28, that’s $26.60 at 5% off and $25.20 at 10% off, 36+ bottles in stock now
VinopolNote: This Aligote is effervescent, crisp, with lots of juicy citrus and orchard fruit. It is sharp, with good weight and mineral driven backbone. The touch of salinity makes this a great wine to pair with seafood!

Maison de Montille Soeur et Frere Fourchaume, Chablis Premier Cru 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $54.50, that’s $51.78 at 5% off and $49.05 at 10% off, 12 bottles in stock now
Burghound 89-91 points “There is enough classic Chablis character to be persuasive leading to clean and precise middle weight flavors that possess a caressing mid-palate texture that contrasts somewhat with the crisp, very dry and sneaky long finish. This mineral-driven effort should drink well after only a few years of keeping. (Drink starting 2026).”

Vincent Girardin Quintessence de Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 2017 750ml Displayed Price: $219, that’s $208.05 at 5% off and $197.10 at 10% off, 29 bottles in stock now
William Kelley-Wine Advocate 93+ points “The 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Quintessence de Corton-Charlemagne was one of the most introverted wines in the range when I revisited it from bottle, unwinding to reveal scents of pear, white flowers, confit citrus and a delicate top note of petrol. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, ample and satiny, with a deep and intensely concentrated core, but it’s still very reserved after its recent bottling. Some patience will be in order here, though at maturity, I’m sure my score will look conservative.”

Domaine Charlopin Tissier Pernand-Vergelesses Rouge 2022 750ml Displayed Price: $59, that’s $56.05 at 5% off and $53.10 at 10% off, 10 bottles in stock now
Importer Note “Domaine Charlopin Tissier was created in 2013 with only 1.08 hectares of vines by husband and wife Yann Charlopin and Justine Tissier. The young couple now hold just over 4 hectares of vines in Bourgogne, Côte de Nuits-Villages, Marsannay, Gevrey Chambertin, Morey-Saint-Denis, Vosne Romanée, and Pernand-Vergelesses. Inspired by the elegant wines of his mentor Jean-Marie Fourrier, the wines of Domaine Charlopin Tissier are wines of elegance and finesse. After studying wine in Beaune and spending time making wine in Tasmania, S@ncerre and Chablis, Yann Charlopin returned home to work with his father Philippe Charlopin. When the opportunity arose to acquire some of Justine’s family’s vines in Marsannay and with a vision of the wines he would like to create, Yann did not pass up the opportunity to venture out on his own. With the encouragement of Jean-Marie Fourrier, Yann and Justine purchased Domaine David Clarke in Morey-Saint-Denis.
“In the vineyard, all farming is organic and done by hand. Once harvested, all grapes are fully de-stemmed, undergo a cold maceration and are fermented with natural yeasts. Yann does little racking as he prefers a long, slow élevage on the fine lees.”

Joseph Drouhin Greves, Beaune Premier Cru 2018 750ml Displayed Price: $109, that’s $103.55 at 5% off and $98.10 at 10% off, 19 bottles in stock now
Neal Martin-Vinous 91 points “The 2018 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru offers dark berry fruit mixed with autumn leaf and cedar aromas on the nose, veering toward an earthier style of aromatics. The medium-bodied palate delivers supple tannins and fine acidity. Very pure and caressing with a silky-smooth finish. A lovely Beaune Grèves.”

Fernand & Laurent Pillot Volnay 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $59, that’s $56.05 at 5% off and $53.10 at 10% off, 11 bottles in stock now
William Kelley-Wine Advocate 90 points “Derived from four parcels, and including around one-third premier cru fruit, the 2020 Volnay Village exhibits aromas of wild berries, dark chocolate, rich soil tones and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and vibrant, with fine concentration and attractive purity of fruit, this is a real success.”

Domaine Faiveley Les Pruliers, Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $99, that’s $94.05 at 5% off and $89.10 at 10% off, 11 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 92 points “Aromas of spearmint and cinnamon accent the core flavors of black cherry and blackberry in this firm red, which is more linear on the finish, where dark fruit mingles with oak spice and mineral elements. The tannins are a touch dry in the end. Best from 2025 through 2040.”
Domaine des Comtes Lafon Volnay Santenots-du-Milieu, Volnay Premier Cru 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $219, that’s $208.05 at 5% off and $197.10 at 10% off, 8 bottles in stock now
William Kelley-Wine Advocate 93-95 points “The 2020 Volnay 1er Cru Les Santenots-du-Milieu is excellent, wafting from the glass with a deep bouquet of wild berries, plums and cassis mingled with hints of spices, grilled meats and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it’s deep and tightly wound, with powdery structuring tannins and lively acids. This is a serious Santenots that will require some bottle age, and it’s among the best that I can remember tasting chez Lafon over the last decade.”
Domaine de Montille Les Sizies, Beaune Premier Cru 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $79, that’s $75.05 at 5% off and $71.10 at 10% off, 12 bottles in stock now
Decanter 93 points “Bright pomegranate and black cherry aromas, with floral notes and a hint of spice. There is plenty of freshness and a slightly rustic, tannic edge on the palate, yet the wine is showing nicely and should age well over the mid-term. De Montille has 1.62ha in Beaune Sizies at the foot of the slope in fairly deep clay soils. Picking started early here, yet there is nothing tart or astringent about the wine. The grapes were vinified with one-third whole-cluster and aged in 15% new casks.”
Domaine Rapet Pere et Fils Aux Fourneaux Rouge, Savigny-les-Beaune Premier Cru 2020 750ml Was $49, Displayed Price: $44.50, $42.28 at 5% off and $40.05 at 10% off, 10 bottles in stock now
Neal Martin-Vinous 91-93 points “The 2020 Savigny-lès-Beaune Aux Fourneaux offers attractive tertiary, red berry fruit mixed with briary and light tobacco scents. The palate is mediumbodied with lithe tannins, a fine bead of acidity, very harmonious with a lovely elegant finish. This is absolutely delicious.”

Vinopolis Close-Out Sale Featurette:
De Venoge
De Venoge is an old-school Champagne House that’s relatively unknown in the United States, a fact that means even their finest and rarest wines continue to be undervalued relative to their peers. This is no better exemplified than their prestige cuvee, the LXV bottling. Named after Louis the 15th, who first authorized the bottling of Champagne, it sees extensive aging on its lees and is a true monument of vintage champagne.
De Venoge prestige cuvée is an outstanding wine for lovers of truly mature Champagne in all its glory, offering a rich, creamy texture from the extended lees aging married to surprisingly fresh, mineral personalities. There’s a reason this House has such a following overseas: they produce stunning aged wines that are ready to go, so consumers can enjoy the magic on release. Now’s your chance to try them for yourself! These are perfect “occasion” wines that make for memorable birth year and anniversary gifts.
In Stock & On Sale Now from De Venoge:
De Venoge Louis XV Brut Millésimé, Champagne 2006 750ml Was $189, Now $169, 22 bottles in stock now
Stephan Reinhardt-Wine Advocate 96 points “The assemblage of the 2006 Louis XV Brut Millésimé is about the same as the 1995 and 1996—composed of 50/50 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, all from grand cru villages. The only difference is that the Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (10% of the assemblage) spent 12 months in oak barrels. Disgorged in January 2017 (dosage: six grams per liter), the 2006 has a golden color and opens with a deep, ripe, elegant and vinous bouquet with toasty and chalky lemon and fresh white fruit flavors. On the palate, this is an intense, round, fresh and complex Louis XV with great purity and finesse. The wine opens on the palate like a soufflé, coating the whole palate without any pressure or weight—gorgeous! This is a delicate and fresh yet well-structured and persistent Louis XV whose intense and long but weightless finish reveals lovely, almost juicy fruit concentration with perfectly integrated freshness and lasting minerality that seems to give additional structure. The 2006 shows a lot of Chardonnay features right now and drinks perfectly today; however, it can be kept under perfect conditions for decades. Just keep it in the box, because the bottle is white and nothing makes a Champagne age faster than exposure to daylight. (Tasted in November 2017 from Lot LL15067017BT.)-SR”
De Venoge Louis XV Brut Millésimé, Champagne 2008 750ml Was $249, Now $219, 31 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 95 points “This is really punchy and broad-shouldered with muscular structure and citrusy undertones. Full body. Lightly tannic and a fresh and vivid finish. This is the first vintage without malolactic fermentation ever. One for the cellar. Better in 2022.”
Stephan Reinhardt-Wine Advocate 93+ points “The straw-yellow/white-golden colored 2008 Louis XV Brut Millésimé blends 50% Chardonnay (20 % from Avize, 15% from Oger and 15% from Mesnil) with 50% Pinot Noir (41.5% from Verzenay and 8.5% from Bouzy). Disgorged in January 2018 with a dosage of six grams per liter, the 2008 displays a clear, pure, fresh, chalky-tinged and vinous nose with lemon, white fruits, brioche, hazelnuts, white blossoms and some caramel notes. Pure, lean, fresh and elegant on the palate, with a lingering hazelnut flavor, this is a straight yet complex cuvée with grip and a long, well-structured and textured finish. This 2008 is still terribly fresh and should benefit from further bottle aging. For the moment, I am missing the mouth-filling generosity of the 2006 and 1995. Mind that this is the first vintage of de Venoge’s prestigious Louis XV where the base wines didn’t undergo malolactic fermentation! Total production: 10,326 bottles. Tasted October 2018.”
De Venoge Louis XV Extra Brut Rosé Millésimé, Champagne 2002 750ml Was $189, Now $159, 15 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 93 points “Harmonious, with fine intensity, offering rich notes of spice cake, toasted almond, dried cherry, grilled plum and smoky mineral. Almost velvety in texture, with juicy acidity that brings you back for another sip. Delicious. Drink now through 2022. 54 cases made.”
