We are lifetime lovers of Vietti here at Vinopolis. These wines are up to 10% off on orders of 6 or more bottles and you won’t find better prices anywhere else. Period.

A little context on Vietti…

The Vietti Winery’s prestige speaks for itself and any attempt at describing their merits would be only a carbon copy of what the world has been saying for years. These wines are good. REALLY good. It’s no surprise because the estate has some of the most envious vineyard holdings to be found in all of Barolo.

Here’s the simple reason why you should acquire and drink Vietti wines: they’re underpriced. Yep. You heard what I said. The quality that this estate is achieving year after year is on an absolute par with the most expensive and legendary Barolo producers that exist. Pick a name: Giacomo Conterno, Bartolo Mascarello, Burlotto, Rinaldi, Altare, etc. etc. I guarantee you that Vietti can stand up to all of them and provide drinking pleasure and longevity that will amaze you.

The key to Vietti’s success has been the mastery over both modern and traditional approaches in winemaking. Rather than rest on the assumption that the old ways are best, or be seduced by the notion that new is always better, Vietti has chosen its own path. The wines are given traditional extended maceration in the winery to extract ample tannin and complex aroma from the nebbiolo grape skins before they’re matured in a combination of both barrique and large oak vessels. The approach is never heavy handed but always done to achieve the perfect balance between finesse, aromatic intensity, and ageworthy structure.

This estate treats all of its wines with immense care and you can taste the passion across the entire portfolio. In recent years I’ve been overwhelmingly impressed by not only the cru Barolos but also the entry level barberas, langhe nebbiolos, and whites of Arneis and Timorasso. There isn’t a single bottle of Vietti that I’ve opened which hasn’t been a pleasure to drink. And trust me, the bottle doesn’t last long once it’s opened.

Incredible Selections of Vietti Available now:

Vietti Barolo Brunate 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $219, that’s $208.05 at 5% off and $197.10 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 97 points: “Harmonious and seductive with endless counts of aromas in good depth. Strawberries, crushed raspberries, fresh lavender, tile, mineral and mild spices. Medium to full body with chalky, powerful tannins. Bright and tense at the center with extensive development with sour cherries, mineral, white pepper and grapefruit. The lengthy finish is focused, precise and taut.”
Vinous 94 points: “The 2020 Barolo Brunate is a dark, beguiling wine. Black cherry, dried herbs, leather, game, licorice and incense lend gorgeous sepia-toned nuance. Brooding and inward, the 2020 clearly needs time. It is a super-classic Brunate that is hard to read in the early going, but the weight, substance and power are clearly there. Dense, meaty and dark, the 2020 shows Serralunga-like intensity.”

Vietti Barolo Castiglione 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $59, that’s $56.05 at 5% off and $53.10 at 10% off, 24 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 94 points: “Racy and focused. I like the aromas of lavender, violet and white roses alongside strawberry, cranberry and stone. Medium body, with firm and fine tannins that are long and succulent. It’s fine and polished.”
Vinous 93 points: “Fragrant, polished and vibrant right out of the gate, the 2020 Barolo Castiglione displays beautifully-lifted notes of crushed red berry fruit, rose petal, mint, white pepper and orange peel. This classically built, mid-weight Barolo is classy to the core. Like all the 2020s here, it will benefit from time in bottle or a good decant.”

Vietti Barolo Cerequio 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $219, that’s $208.05 at 5% off and $197.10 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 97 points: “Impressive depth of color and brightness from this Cerequio that comes with so much fruit. So fragrant and complex. Fresh brambly raspberries, red cherries, grapefruit and mineral. Pure, ripe and racy, with fully resolved tannins and a tense, compact finish. Expressive and impressive! Vegan. Already approachable for the depth of fruit, but better from 2027 for additional complexity.”
Vinous 95+ points: “The 2020 Barolo Cerequio once again confirms that buying this vineyard is one of the smartest decisions Vietti ever made. A wine of nuance and class, the Cerequio captures all the pedigree of this great site. Crushed red berry fruit, kirsch, blood orange, spice and mint soar out of the glass, all framed by nervy tannins that convey classicism. This is an exotic, racy Barolo.”

Vietti Barolo Lazzarito 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $219, that’s $208.05 at 5% off and $197.10 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 96 points: “There is a little more savoriness here, showing contained power. Tar and dark minerality. Plenty of forest berries, dried orange peel, frozen grapefruit and raspberries. Very structured and full-bodied, with firm, chewy tannins rendering the bold austere quality to the wine. But at the end, this is focused and taut, with a crunchy, spicy finish full of length. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drinkable now if you are willing to embrace austerity, but this should be better from 2027.”
Vinous 93 points: “The 2020 Barolo Lazzarito is a blend of fruit picked before and after the early October rains. It marries power and finesse to a notable degree. Dark red fruit, menthol, licorice, crushed rocks and dried herbs open nicely in the glass. This is a bit light for a Serralunga Barolo, although the tannic structure is there. This is missing a bit of personality.

Vietti Barolo Ravera 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $219, that’s $208.05 at 5% off and $197.10 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 97 points: “This is seriously structured and powerful, with aromas of iron, blood, frozen raspberries, grapefruit zest and mild spices. Broad-shouldered and muscular, with firm, very present tannins that grip the palate. More taut and crunchy than the other single vineyards of Vietti. Impressive length and tension. Better from 2028.”
Vinous 95 points: “The 2020 Barolo Ravera is the most inward and tannic of these wines. That is Ravera. It will need years to be at its best. Gravel, crushed rocks, spice, menthol, licorice and dark-toned fruit open with some coaxing. This is a classic Barolo built on a core of searing tannin and energy. Superb.”

Vietti Barolo Rocche di Castiglione 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $219, that’s $208.05 at 5% off and $197.10 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 98 points: “This is a beautiful Rocche di Castiglione that shows fine fragrance and an incredibly supple, ethereal texture. It’s medium-bodied and very well composed, with an array of fresh red cherries, strawberries, white roses, mineral, frozen raspberries and mild spices. Super silky and long, with a crunchy red-fruited finish. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Tension and lightness in the mouth. A wonderful Barolo. Drink from 2027.”
Vinous 96 points: “The 2020 Barolo Rocche di Castiglione is superb. Sensual, silky and wonderfully nuanced, the 2020 is seriously impressive. Crushed flowers, mint, spice, cedar and blood orange are beautifully layered. There’s a bit more volume and breadth than in the past, but it works. The 2020 is a classic Rocche that needs a bit of time.”

Vietti Barolo Monvigliero 2020 750ml Displayed Price: $299, that’s $284.05 at 5% off and $269.10 at 10% off, 6 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 97 points: “Pure and lively, with superb finesse. It’s racy and juicy with very fine tannins that grow at the end of the palate. Red berries, pink grapefruit, tile, white pepper and mineral. Succulent, with intense red berries and floral notes at the end. Very long and firm, with great elegance and agility. From organically grown grapes. Vegan. Drink from 2027.”
Vinous 95+ points: “The 2020 Barolo Monvigliero is a powerful, driving wine that is going to need time to fully blossom. Today, it is so primary. Bright acids and veins of tannin lend drive. The 2020 is long on fruit, but it is also quite reticent, even by Monvigliero standards. My sense is that this needs a lot of time to be at its best.”

Vietti Barolo Lazzarito 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $239, that’s $227.05 at 5% off and $215.10 at 10% off, 21 bottles in stock now
Wine Advocate 98 points: “With fruit from Serralunga d’Alba, the Vietti 2019 Barolo Lazzarito is a historic cornerstone wine of this mighty portfolio. It is also one of the Vietti Barolos that consistently delivers extreme quality and pleasure with each new release. Like the other wines presented here, winemaking is straightforward, with submerged cap fermentations lasting 30 to 35 days (although those times were reduced in 2019 because this vintage was not suited to long maceration times). Serralunga d’Alba always delivers power and richness. There are aromas of dried tobacco leaf, perfumed tea, crushed rose and iron ore. The bouquet is extremely expressive.”
Vinous 97 points: “The 2019 Barolo Lazzarito continues a trend seen in recent years in which the focus has been more about finesse than raw power. Intense red fruit, iron, dried herbs, chalk, dried rose petal and white pepper all run through this deep, virile Barolo. The power and intensity of Serralunga really come alive on the heady, explosive finish. Bright saline notes linger on the deep, resonant finish. A Barolo of raw, unbridled power, the Lazzarito demands patience.”

Vietti Barolo Cerequio 2019 750ml Displayed Price: $249, that’s $236.55 at 5% off and $224.10 at 10% off, 4 bottles in stock now
Vinous 98 points: “The 2019 Barolo Cerequio is a worthy follow-up to the stellar 2018. Aromatic and deeply pitched, the 2019 races across the palate with remarkable depth and intensity. Crushed red berry fruit, rose petal, mint, and cinnamon all open in the glass, but it is the wine’s silkiness and suppleness that impresses most. A kick of acids and tannins puts an exclamation point on the finish. This is a gorgeous Cerequio that takes all the finesse this site offers, and then turns up the volume. What a wine.”
Wine Advocate 97+ points: “Vietti was able to buy a 9,000-square meter piece of Cerequio from Michele Chiarlo, arguably the king of this celebrated cru. And because this is a new addition to the portfolio, the Vietti team is still learning the ropes. For example, there is a fresh minty tone that pops up from the bouquet of the 2019 Barolo Cerequio. ‘That minty note was a mystery to us,’ Luca Currado tells me. ‘But then we understood that it’s part of Cerequio.’ This wine shows a firm grip on the palate that does extend out to include some textural softness, but it ultimately remains quite structured. Among the grand cru sites of La Morra, Luca Currado tells me that ‘Cerequio is the brother and Brunate is the sister.’ His wife Elena Penna adds, ‘We’ve never had two sites so close to one another show such a great difference between them.'”

Vietti Barolo Ravera 2018 750ml Displayed Price: $199, that’s $189.05 at 5% off and $179.10 at 10% off, 12 bottles in stock now
Vinous 95+ points: “The 2018 Barolo Ravera is a wine of real depth and vertical structure. As always, the Ravera is a taut, nervy Barolo built on energy more than volume. Readers will have to be patient, as the Ravera is likely to require a number of years to be at its most expressive. Even in the early going, it is vibrant and full of life. Rose petal, chalk, blood orange, and white pepper lend striking exotic top notes that are quite suggestive of what the future is going to bring. What a gorgeous Barolo this is.”
Wine Advocate 95 points: “Vietti is one of a handful of estates to bring the Ravera MGA of Novello to the current popularity it enjoys now. Their 2018 Barolo Ravera has a smoky personality with crushed stone and pencil shavings. There is plenty of dark fruit at the back, ripe cherry and blackberry mostly, and the wine is tonic and firm in terms of its structure and tannins. The Ravera is a wine of enormous length and a finely tuned texture. Exactly 7,560 bottles were made.”

Vietti Barolo Riserva 2015 750ml Displayed Price: $149, that’s $141.55 at 5% off and $134.10 at 10% off, 3 bottles in stock now
Wine Advocate 97 points: “The 2015 Barolo Riserva is a masterpiece from Vietti, and it represents the pinnacle of what the estate does with Barolo. A blend of fruit from the best parcels in Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d’Alba, and Monforte d’Alba, this wine is deep, dark, and immensely concentrated. The bouquet opens to dark fruit, rose, wet stone, and tobacco, and there’s an extra layer of complexity that elevates the wine even further. On the palate, this Riserva is full-bodied, with a firm, tannic structure and enormous aging potential. The wine is a complete package, showing power, elegance, and length, with tannins that frame the finish beautifully.”
Vinous 96 points: “The 2015 Barolo Riserva is a wine of extraordinary intensity. It is one of the most tannic and concentrated wines in the entire Vietti lineup. The fruit is dark, layered, and incredibly deep. Notes of leather, rose petal, tobacco, and graphite emerge over time, adding layers of nuance to the wine. On the palate, the 2015 Barolo Riserva is structured and powerful, with a long finish that seems to go on forever. It is a wine that will benefit from many years in the cellar, where it will continue to develop and evolve.”

Vietti Moscato D’Asti 2023 750ml Displayed Price: $19, that’s $18.05 at 5% off and $17.10 at 10% off, 21 bottles in stock now
Winery Note: “Bright straw-yellow color with slightly shimmering hints of gold. Intense aromas of ripe yellow fruit (peach, apricot), floral notes (rose petal) and hints of ginger. Sweet and delicate on the palate, with modest acidity, and good balance and complexity. Hints of fresh apricot on the finish. Drink as an aperitif, perfect accompaniment to Pan-Asian cuisine and lobster as well as pastry, fruit-based and creamy desserts and blue cheeses.”

Vietti Barbera d’Alba Vigna Scarrone 2021 750ml Displayed Price: $54, that’s $51.30 at 5% off and $48.60 at 10% off, 11 bottles in stock now
Winery Note: “Intense ruby red in color, with a deep aroma of dark cherries, blackberries, and spices. The palate is full-bodied and complex, with bright acidity and silky tannins that provide structure and depth. Hints of chocolate and tobacco linger on the long finish. Perfect with roasted meats, pasta with truffle sauce, and aged cheeses.”

Vietti Langhe Nebbiolo Perbacco 2021 750ml Displayed Price: $32, that’s $30.40 at 5% off and $28.80 at 10% off, 15 bottles in stock now
Winery Note: “A deep ruby-red Nebbiolo with bright aromas of cherry, rose petals, and subtle spice. The palate is lively and balanced, with silky tannins and fresh acidity. This ‘baby Barolo’ delivers complexity and elegance, making it a great introduction to Vietti’s Nebbiolo wines. Perfect with roasted poultry, grilled vegetables, and mushroom-based dishes.”

Vietti Dolcetto d’Alba Tre Vigne 2022 750ml Displayed Price: $22, that’s $20.90 at 5% off and $19.80 at 10% off, 20 bottles in stock now
Winery Note: “Deep purple in color, with aromas of dark fruit, blackberries, and hints of violets and spice. On the palate, it’s fresh and lively, with medium body, soft tannins, and a crisp, fruit-driven finish. A delightful wine that pairs well with charcuterie, pasta dishes, and grilled meats.”

Vietti Timorasso – Derthona Colli Tortonesi 2022 750ml Displayed Price: $39, that’s $37.05 at 5% off and $35.10 at 10% off, 8 bottles in stock now
Wine Enthusiast 91 points: “This classic Timorasso showcases a distinctive herbal edge, with layers of aromas and flavors. The nose offers crisp green apple and lemon pith, hinting at the wine’s vibrant character. On the palate, the green-apple notes become more pronounced, with a tart quality that adds to the freshness. The lemon pith brings a bitter, zesty dimension, complementing the wine’s herbal undertones, which evoke sensations of freshly crushed thyme and sage. These flavors intertwine seamlessly, creating a complex and textured experience that highlights the unique attributes of the Timorasso grape. Drink now–2035.”
