Pehu Simonet ‘Face Nord’ Millésimé Grand Cru 2008 750ml Displayed Price: $135, that’s $128.25 at 5% off and $121.50 at 10% off, 9 bottles in stock now
Skurnik Wines Importer Note “50% Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay. Assemblage: 100% 2008. Vineyard/Village: 50% old vine Verzenay Grand Cru Pinot Noir, 50% Chardonnay from Les Mesnil-sur-Oger Grand Cru. Malo: no. Elevage: Pinot Noir in used French oak, Chardonnay in stainless steel. En Tirage Aging: 102 months.
“A fourth-generation producer, David Pehu has taken this 7.5-hectare domaine, located in the Grand Cru of Verzenay in a decidedly ‘Burgundian’ direction. After coming to the estate in 1988, David’s philosophy changed with time, adjusting to focus on certified organic farming and single site and single Cru expressions… In Verzenay Grand Cru, David farms 3.5 hectares including very old vine parcels. Apart from a very small parcel in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, the majority of the holdings are all in the Grand Crus of Verzy, Sillery, Mailly, and Bouzy… Pehu strictly avoids the malolactic for all of his wines, including the red wines used for making rosé, as he believes that blocking the malo through a very cold cellar better preserves the finesse and expression of fruit in the long run.”

This haunting and fragrant expression from the brothers Bérêche is charming and full of rich notes of brioche and citrus peel. Break out during the cheese course and enjoy with fruit or pork pâté, buttery seafood dishes, and cream-based dishes.
Raphael & Vincent Bérêche Oger Grand Cru Cote des Blancs Extra Brut 2016 750ml Was $135, Displayed Price: $124, that’s $117.80 at 5% off and $111.60 at 10% off, 26 bottles in stock now
VinopolNote: Oger is a tiny, Grand Cru village in the Côte des Blancs region of Champagne. It is often mistaken for Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, given the similarity in name. In Peter Liem’s book, “Champagne” Rodolphe Péters of Pierre Péters describes it as producing wines with “delicate with aromas of red fruit and tangerine.” Liem goes on to describe the village as producing riper and more fragrant wines than Mesnil due to the east-facing bowl that captures sunlight. Wine from the village is also used as the basis for Charles Heidsieck’s Grand Cru Côte des Blancs blends.

Bright acidity and creamy with a lovely toasted nut aroma. Has the body for dinner and the personality to liven up any appetizer on toast. It’s also a success with caramelized brussels sprouts!
Comtes de Dampierre Grande Cuvee Brut NV 750ml Displayed Price: $49, that’s $46.55 at 5% off and $44.10 at 10% off, 19 bottles in stock now
Wine Spectator 91 points “A vivacious, balanced Champagne, with the lively mousse and mouthwatering acidity framing notes of Asian pear, salted almond, verbena and ground ginger. Chalky finish. Drink now through 2024. 9,000 cases made, 800 cases imported. — AN”

Crafted by Burgundy house Olivier Leflaive, this Champagne is all Chardonnay hailing from one of Champagne’s finest villages: Le Mesnil Sur Oger. Full of finesse, this wine shows the serious side of terroir through a Burgundian lens. This is a superb pairing for Thanksgiving’s challenging combination of rich, decedent and often sweet main course dishes such as roast squash, mushroom or giblet gravy, and rosemary mashed potatoes.
Valentin Leflaive Blanc de Blancs Le Mesnil Sur Oger Grand Cru Extra Brut NV (2015) 750ml Displayed Price: $99, that’s $94.05 at 5% off and $89.10 at 10% off, 13 bottles in stock now
James Suckling 94 points “[Review is for different disgorgement] Aromas of apple pie with lemon curd and stone. Full-bodied with a solid palate of layered fruit and phenolics. Dense and focused with lots of fruit, yet composed and focused. Structured. Almost tannic. Dosage 5g/L.”
From the fantastic Grand Cru village of Bouzy, this vintage is ready to unfurl in your glass tonight. As the importer suggests, open with your favorite poultry, glazed carrots, or pan seared mushrooms!
Paul Bara Grand Cru Brut Grand Millésimé 2016 750ml Displayed Price: $79, that’s $75.05 at 5% off and $71.10 at 10% off, 9 bottles in stock now
Decanter World Wine Awards 94 points “Appealing aromas of maple and pecan, then on to a plate of subtle honey, walnut, red fruit and polished mineral.”
Importer Note “Non-vintage, entry level Champagne tends to sing best all by itself, or perhaps with just some simple appetizers. Vintage bottles on the other hand have more grip and a bit of weight than their blended counterparts and often have their best moments at table. The 2016 Brut Grand Cru from Bara is one such wine. Don’t just pair with classic white wine dishes, but stretch your imagination and try with lighter red wine pairings—roasted bird, pork chops or tenderloin, or hearty vegetable dishes.”
One of the greatest producers of NV BdB from fantastic terroir in the Côte des Blancs. This is seriously delish and beautifully balanced. Serve with freshly baked rolls and turkey with white gravy.
Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Brut NV 750ml Displayed Price: $79, that’s $75.05 at 5% off and $71.10 at 10% off, 36+ bottles in stock now
James Suckling 93 points “Croissants, toasted sourdough, white pears, acacia and lemon meringue pie. Salty almond notes on the palate. Deliciously saline and creamy, with silky bubbles and a gently toasty finish. 100% chardonnay from Mesnil, Avize and Oger. Based on 2017 vintage with 20% reserve wines. Drink now. – July 19, 2023”
A fabulous vintage that is in its peak, this Pinot Noir/Chardonnay blend will look stunning on your table and enliven roasted turkey, classic stuffing, or even your favorite casserole recipe.
De Venoge Louis XV Brut Millésimé 2006 750ml Was $189, Displayed Price: $169, that’s $160.55 at 5% off and $152.10 at 10% off, 22 bottles in stock now
Stephan Reinhardt-Wine Advocate 96 points “The assemblage of the 2006 Louis XV Brut Millésimé is about the same as the 1995 and 1996—composed of 50/50 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, all from grand cru villages. The only difference is that the Chardonnay from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (10% of the assemblage) spent 12 months in oak barrels. Disgorged in January 2017 (dosage: six grams per liter), the 2006 has a golden color and opens with a deep, ripe, elegant and vinous bouquet with toasty and chalky lemon and fresh white fruit flavors. On the palate, this is an intense, round, fresh and complex Louis XV with great purity and finesse. The wine opens on the palate like a soufflé, coating the whole palate without any pressure or weight—gorgeous! This is a delicate and fresh yet well-structured and persistent Louis XV whose intense and long but weightless finish reveals lovely, almost juicy fruit concentration with perfectly integrated freshness and lasting minerality that seems to give additional structure. The 2006 shows a lot of Chardonnay features right now and drinks perfectly today; however, it can be kept under perfect conditions for decades. Just keep it in the box, because the bottle is white and nothing makes a Champagne age faster than exposure to daylight.”

This spicy and vibrant number from one of our long-time favorite producers overdelivers for the money. It’s no shrinking violet in the flavor department, so pass a bottle around to pair with sausage gravy, duxelles, or any sort of meat pie!
Andre Clouet Grand Cru Brut Rosé NV 750ml Displayed Price: $49, that’s $46.55 at 5% off and $44.10 at 10% off, 4 bottles in stock now
Andre Clouet Grand Cru Brut Rosé NV 3L Displayed Price: $319, that’s $303.05 at 5% off and $287.10 at 10% off, 1 double-magnum in stock now
William Kelley-Wine Advocate 90 points “The latest release of Clouet’s deeply colored NV Brut Rosé No 3 Grand Cru is showing well, opening in the glass with notes of blood orange, red berries, ripe apples and oatmeal. On the palate, it’s full-bodied, broad and vinous, with ripe acids, a frothy mousse and a moderately intense finish. This is an attractive, gastronomic rosé that hails exclusively from Bouzy.” [Reviewed April 2019]
Love a fun and fruity number? This is a bubbly ready for a crowd. With bold fruit flavors and a bone-dry palate, this is charming on its own by flexible enough to take on glazed ham or buttery sweet potatoes. This won’t be amiss with butter cookies or spiced apple tart.
Elise Dechannes Tradition Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut 2017 750ml Displayed Price: $49, that’s $46.55 at 5% off and $44.10 at 10% off, 7 bottles in stock now
VinopolNote: This grower style Blanc de Noirs is ripe, bright, and full of flavor, body, and bubbles! Pear and green apple are found on the nose and palate, with orange and cherry notes showing throughout out the mid-palate and finish. The bubbles are taught and refreshing. This Champagne speaks for itself and is beautifully unique and yummy.

Rich and bold with a gentle sweetness, this will nicely accent seared squash and cornbread stuffing. Try with hard-to-pair dishes such as roast parsnips to bring out the wine’s herbal side. Don’t forget to save a glass or two for pumpkin pie.
R. Dumont & Fils Cuvee Rosé Brut NV 750ml Displayed Price: $39, that’s $37.05 at 5% off and $35.10 at 10% off, 9 bottles in stock now
Importer Note “The Dumont Brut Rosé is made exclusively from Pinot Noir. A selection is made in the vineyard from parcels that are particularly ripe and from bunches with deeply colored skins. Fermentation proceeds as with red wines but the wine is drawn off the skins after a day or so with the Dumonts looking carefully at the balance of extraction, color and tannin. This method, known as “saignée”, is a tricky art but one that can produce the most natural and delicately complex style of Rosé champagne. The Brut Rosé NV is aged for two years on the lees before disgorgement and dosage is 10 grams.”

Looking for a berry-forward bubbly to carry you into the dessert course? Try with homemade apple pie, spice cookies, or berry crumble. Just don’t skimp on the whipped cream!
Gatinois Aÿ Grand Cru Brut Rosé NV 750ml Displayed Price: $64.50, that’s $61.28 at 5% off and $58.05 at 10% off, 16 bottles in stock now
Gilbert & Gaillard “Salmon-pink. Focused, fruit-forward nose of raspberry and strawberry. Full, melted and full-bodied palate with precise, intense fruit expression framed by freshness. A nicely crafted rosé Champagne drinking well from the aperitif through to dessert.”

Clemens Busch
Clemens Busch has always been ahead of his time, focusing on organic farming, dry wines, and low sulfur levels long before it was fashionable. That restless spirit, coupled with one of the most dramatically steep vineyards in the Mosel (the Pündericher Marienburg), lead to his current status as a true icon of the Mosel.

Stephan Reinhardt-Wine Advocate 93 points “The 2014 Riesling Auslese Rothenpfad displays a lovely, clear and slate-like bouquet, with herbal and tropical fruit flavors. Sweet and piquant on the palate, this is a rich and very elegant, well balanced Riesling with a great delicacy, and fruit-intense and piquant finish. Very stimulating. The residual sugar of 135 grams per liter is almost blown away by the acidity and minerality.”

Weingut Clemens Busch Riesling Trocken, Mosel 2022 750ml Was $24, Now $21.90, 5 bottles in stock now
Anne Krebiehl MW-Vinous 89 points “The 2022 Riesling trocken is harvested on either side of the Mosel: the village-side sites plus the pre-harvest from the Marienburg side. The rather shy nose has lovely pear and lemon notes. The lithe palate is more forthcoming with fruit, showing tender pear, lemon, and slight white pepper. A dry, very lemon-pronounced finish.”
